Visiting Halstead

Halstead is a market town just a few miles from Braintree. St Andrews lies just off the main road, the A131.

PARKING

The church car park is only accessible via Mallows Field and Parsonage Street from Colchester Road. There are a limited number of spaces, so we would request that this is used by drivers with limited mobility only.

Parking in the town is ample, but please check restrictions at the time of your visit, as these are subject to change.

Butler Road car park: pay and display Mon-Sat (free after 3pm)

Sainsbury’s car park (off the High Street): pay and display Mon-Sat (free after 3pm)

Co-op car park (off Factory Lane West): 2hr limit Mon-Sat 7am-6pm

High Street: 2 hour limit, but no restriction after 6pm

The Centre: Parking available only after 6pm

(The car park at Lidl is limited to 2 hours, and this is strictly enforced, 24hrs a day without exception)

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

For those wishing to use public transport, the nearest train stations are Colchester Town or Chelmsford. Both stations offer buses to Halstead, with the buses stopping a few minutes walk from St Andrews.
